In commemoration of International Human Rights Day, the Right to Life Human Rights Centre (R2L), in collaboration with the Monaragala Human Rights and Social Entrepreneurship Development Centre (HRSEDC), conducted a legal aid clinic in the Monaragala District with the objective of strengthening access to justice at the community level.

The clinic was led by Dulan Dasanayaka(AAL) and Chathuranga Ekanayaka(AAL) and was attended by 20 individuals seeking legal assistance. Participants were provided with clear information on available legal remedies, practical guidance on the steps required to pursue their cases, and advice on navigating relevant legal processes.
The programme also emphasized the importance of continued support. Participants were informed about referral mechanisms and follow-up assistance through the Human Rights and Social Entrepreneurship Development Centre, ensuring sustained support beyond the clinic.
The Right to Life Human Rights Centre extends its sincere appreciation to Mr. Dhammika Lakshman, Chairman of the Community Resources Protection Centre, and Mr. Janith Sadaruwan, Coordinator of HRSEDC, for their support and cooperation in making this programme a success.
This initiative reflects R2L’s ongoing commitment to empowering communities, enhancing legal awareness, and improving access to justice for vulnerable groups at the grassroots level.
