The new social entrepreneurship arm ‘Sandhara’, initiated by the Right to Life Human Rights Centre, was officially launched Today (28th) at Thalakotuwa Gardens, Colombo 05.

Former Member of Parliament Patali Champika Ranawaka, Executive Director of PAFFREL Rohana Hettiarachchi, and Professor Rohan Samarajiva were also present as invited guests.
‘Sandhara’ is a social entrepreneurship initiative established to strengthen sustainability within the human rights sector. The primary objective of the initiative is to support grassroots entrepreneurs by expanding their market opportunities through the sale of products and services facilitated under the programme.
Funds generated through these activities will also be utilized to provide assistance to human rights defenders and victims of human rights violations.
Through this initiative, the organization aims to promote a locally driven and sustainable economic model while reinforcing long term civil society engagement and human rights protection efforts in Sri Lanka.
