A capacity building workshop for coordinators of the Human Rights and Social Entrepreneurship Development Centres and emerging media activists working with the centres was held on 27 February 2026 at Sandhara, Colombo.
The workshop focused on improving participantsā knowledge and skills in using social media to promote human rights and social entrepreneurship. Participants were also introduced to methods of creating impactful multimedia stories, understanding media ethics, and reporting human rights violations within the āDo No Harmā framework. The sessions further discussed how social media platforms can be effectively used for advocacy beyond traditional media reporting.
The program was conducted with the contribution of resource persons Senior Journalist Ajith Perakum, Attorney-at-Law Dulan Dasanayaka, and Suranjan Prasad.
