Last Updated: 2026/09/20
These Terms of Use apply to your use of the Right to Life Sri Lanka (“R2L”) chatbot and related digital support services available through the R2L website, WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, or other supported channels.
By using the chatbot, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms.
1. Purpose of the Chatbot
The R2L chatbot is designed to provide information about R2L services, answer questions using R2L-approved information, assist users in finding relevant support, and facilitate contact with R2L personnel where appropriate.
The chatbot is intended to support communication and access to information.
2. Artificial Intelligence
The chatbot uses artificial intelligence to generate responses based on information available in its configured knowledge base.
AI-generated responses may occasionally be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, or unsuitable for a particular situation.
Users should verify important information with an appropriate R2L staff member or other qualified professional where necessary.
3. No Guarantee of Accuracy
Although R2L aims to provide useful and reliable information, R2L does not guarantee that every chatbot response will always be complete, current, or error-free.
Where a matter is unclear, sensitive, urgent, or requires individual assessment, the chatbot may recommend contacting an R2L staff member.
4. Human Support
The chatbot may provide an option to request human assistance.
A conversation may be referred to an authorized R2L staff member when:
- Human assistance is requested
- The chatbot cannot adequately answer the question
- Further assessment is required
- A complaint or request requires staff intervention
- The situation is sensitive or urgent
- The matter falls outside the chatbot’s available information
Human follow-up is subject to R2L’s available personnel, procedures, operating hours, and service capacity.
5. Emergency and Immediate Safety Situations
The chatbot is not an emergency response service and should not be relied upon where immediate physical intervention or emergency assistance is required.
If you are in immediate danger, contact the appropriate emergency service, authority, or emergency support available in your location.
The chatbot may provide information about relevant R2L services and available support, but this does not guarantee immediate intervention.
6. Professional and Legal Advice
Information provided by the chatbot should not automatically be treated as professional, legal, medical, psychological, or emergency advice.
Where professional assessment or advice is required, users should contact an appropriately qualified professional or relevant authority.
7. Acceptable Use
Users agree to use the chatbot responsibly and for legitimate purposes.

9. Third-Party Platforms

Those platforms operate independently from R2L and are subject to their own terms, policies, and availability.
R2L cannot guarantee the continuous availability or operation of third-party platforms.

The operation of these external services may affect the availability or functionality of the chatbot.
12. Knowledge Base
Chatbot responses may be generated using information supplied or approved by R2L and stored within the chatbot’s knowledge base.
