Blocking the witnesses against suspected Doctor. Is it a step to protect the accused.?

The Murder at the Negombo GeneralHospital by a Doctor, which made a big uproar   in   Sri Lanka Medical Profession as well as the whole country, is getting cooler and cooler.  The employee who is the one and only witness  has been harassed and thrown out of employment.

Doctors  threatened to  Strike unless she was sacked.   This action of Doctors clearly indicates  their anxiety to protect  a murderer. It is the responsibility of  authorities to  safeguard  the victims as well as the witnesses.    History shows that so many  vital witnesses against very important cases  have been murdered, It has been reported  that the  anaesthetist  was responsible  for the removal of the witness from the services of the hospital after the witness identified the accused at the identify parade.

Two entries have been lodged at the Negombo Police Station.(  CIB 3-16/531 and CIB 45/247)
These authorities accepted through the media that this accused doctor had  attempted abuses on previous occasions  too.  But the very same authorities
Washes their hands off saying  there were no witness.
