We are proud to announce that the Right to Life Human Rights Centre is officially developing the Digital Triage System for Human Rights First Aid!

When severe human rights violations such as police torture, harassment, or unlawful detention occur, the critical window for effective legal intervention often closes within hours. Currently, vulnerable and marginalized communities across Sri Lanka face language barriers, complex legal systems, and a profound fear of reprisal that prevent them from safely seeking justice.

We are building a tool to change that. To bridge the gap between isolated victims and established legal defense networks, we are currently developing a secure, low-bandwidth Progressive Web App (PWA) and chatbot integration.

Once launched, this active triage platform will allow users to:

Securely and optionally anonymously report human rights abuses without fear of reprisal.

Instantly receive automated, step-by-step legal “first-aid” in Sinhala, Tamil, or English.

Have their alerts instantly routed to the nearest Human Rights First Aid Centre (HRFAC) coordinator and our island-wide network of human rights lawyers for rapid, on-the-ground intervention.

Your Voice Matters in the Development Phase! We are building this platform to serve and protect you, which is why we want your input before it launches.

What do you expect from the digital triage system?

What specific features, information, or safety measures should it include to best serve you and your community?
