Human Rights Commission of Sri Lanka has issued Guidelines to Police Officers on Parliamentary General Election 2020, which have been sent to the Acting Inspector General of Police. The main objective of these guidelines is to make police officers aware of action that has to be taken to protect fundamental rights during elections. In addition to the Inspector General of Police, these guidelines were sent to the Election Commission and the National Police Commission.
