Is your organization safe?

The decision to amend the Voluntary Social Service Organizations Act in the recent past has led to discussions at the district, local and national levels among NGO and civil society leaders scattered throughout Sri Lanka.

In support of this, we discussed with civil society organizations and civil society leaders in four districts selected under the Freedom House project their administrative positions and threats posed by government sectors.

Then a workshop was held on how to use the digital space and how we should physically protect ourselves by inviting selected institutions from those four four districts to set up an institutional mechanism to solve those problems. It was held on May 27 and 28 at the Camelot Hotel in Negombo.

Ruki Fernando, Attorney-at-Law Prabodhani Munasinghe and Miss Ishani Aluvihare were the resource persons of this workshop.
